Children and Families' Worker
Our Children and Families' Worker, Angela Corlett is helping us to develop worship for children in our church, and is also based at St Mary's Primary Academy for some of her time, where she is helping the school develop their connections with the church, the community and the children's families.
Children are always welcome in our services, even when there isn't a specific group/activity for them to take part in.
At Studley Church, we have a dedicated children's area, where you can sit with your children while engaging with the service. At the 10am service, there is often someone on hand with activities for them to do, or if it's an all-age event, they will be joining in directly with service.
At Mappleborough Church we have a variety of toys and colouring activities for children to do, and we also have all-age services for them to join in with.
Our children's corner in Studley Church
Messy Church is for all the family, and is of particular interest to those with children 0-11. Messy Church involves lots of crafts and fun activities, a short time of all-age worship, and the opportunity to eat a meal together. See the Messy Church page for more details.
We have two Church of England schools in our parish - Mappleborough Green Primary School and St Mary's Primary Academy in Studley. We serve both through a combination of leading collective worship (assemblies), offering chaplaincy, hosting school services in churches, providing Foundation Governors and many other activities throughout the school year.
We are pleased to work closely with our local uniformed organisations and in particular, 2nd Studley (St Mary's) Brownies and Rainbows, who meet in the Parish Church Centre weekly.
We have an active youth group for 11-18s. Please see the 'Youth' page.
