Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Studley

ec-award-buttons-2022---bronze

The church building is located outside of the main village of Studley, but it and the people who meet here are at the heart of the village.

We meet every week for worship, we livestream special events and services, we host various community gatherings (such as our famous Churchyard Teas), and we are involved in a wide range of activities across the community.

We are an Eco Church, Bronze Award church.

Joining us for worship

You are very welcome to join us for worship at any time. We are typically quite informal and we aim to foster a home-spun family feel to our services. Our normal pattern of Sunday services is as follows:

Second 8 am Holy Communion A traditional spoken service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer. Typically around 40 minutes.
10 am Sunday Worship: Prayer and Praise A service of the Word with an emphasis on different forms of prayer, with plenty of songs and often some stories about what God is doing in our lives. Typically around 1 hour. Refreshments served afterwards.
Third 10 am Sunday Worship: Opening the Bible A service of the Word with an emphasis on learning together - sometimes with a guest speaker. Typically around 1 hour. Refreshments served afterwards.
6 pm   Holy Communion A spoken service of Holy Communion. Please note this takes place in the Parish Church Centre in the centre of the village. Typically around 40 minutes.

10 am Sunday Worship: Worship for Everyone An interactive intergenerational service for all the family.  Typically around 1 hour. Refreshments served afterwards.
Fifth 10 am     Varies There will normally be some form of service on a fifth Sunday, but we might be meeting with the other churches in our group, or going out to pray around our village or doing something to care for our community.

Children

Children from babes-in-arms to older youth are very welcome here. To help make you more comfortable, our newly-enlarged children's corner to the front and side of the church, allows your children to play or engage in worship-related activities suited to their age, while you can keep an eye on them and still follow all that's going on in the service. Find out more about what we offer the younger members of our church, from Messy Church to a youth group.
