Revd Kate Mier, Rector 

Kate is vicar (or rector) to all our churches and villages.  She is chaplain to Studley St Mary’s Church of England Academy and to Mappleborough Green Church of England Primary School as well as ex-officio Foundation Governor at the Mappleborough school.  She is also Area Dean of Alcester.
 
Before coming to Arden Marches in 2018 Kate spent a year on community at Scargill House in the Yorkshire Dales learning about Christian community and hospitality – and cleaning a lot of toilets.  But Warwickshire is home – she is delighted to be back in our beautiful  county, having grown up in Kenilworth and previously been vicar of Wellesbourne.  Before ordination she worked as an analytical chemist for Glaxo.
 
Kate enjoys eating good food, growing veg, and visiting South Africa where she volunteers for the Amasango School for streetchildren in Makhanda.  She shares her home with cat Billy.
