Thanks to everyone who came to my final service yesterday, and all those who worked so hard to make it, and the lunch afterwards, such a success. You outdid yourselves! Thanks also to everyone who contributed so generously to my leaving present – I will send a picture of the desk in my new study as soon as I have it.
It was wonderful to see the church so full of people there to celebrate what has been a great curacy (they aren’t always!). That is not only down to David, who is an excellent training incumbent, but also down to all of you, who have supported, encouraged and challenged me so well over the past three years.
Jess and I are grateful for your prayers as we begin our new ministry in Amington (we move in early July). We will continue to pray for all of you, especially during this time of change. I am both excited and nervous about making the move from curate to vicar, particularly learning lots of new names and faces!
Ben (and Jess)
PS – if you weren’t able to come yesterday, or would like to listen again to my sermon, you can find it on my personal website here, complete with the text.
