Does Jesus want you for a Sunbeam Leader?
Mark Gavin will unfortunately be unable to continue leading this very popular preschool group after July this year. We are urgently seeking volunteers who will continue his excellent work at the Parish Centre on a Friday morning between 9.30 and 11.00. Please speak to David (852830) or Mark if you are able to help out (whether on a weekly basis or from time to time) with this valuable outreach in the community.
Do you have any palm crosses which can be used for making ashes for the Ash Wednesday Service this year on 22nd February? If so, please give them to David Silvester.
IMPORTANT ADVANCE NOTICE
This year, in April, two of our longest serving members of the Ministry Leadership Team (MLT), Pat Wheeler and Alan Greathead, will come to the end of their 7 year tenure leaving vacancies for one member from Studley and one from Mappleborough Green. The MLT represents the body of our church here in the Arden Marches (that’s you) in attempting to discern God’s will for the purpose and direction of our worship and mission. (No easy task!).
You will be asked to put forward names of people you consider suitable for these places. Please will you give your prayer and consideration to it over the coming weeks? We would really appreciate everyone’s input.
For Mothering Sunday this year, would you like to give a gift that changes lives and supports another mother? MOTHERS’ UNION is offering ethical gifts which can be given instead of the usual flowers or chocolates (or, for those of us who wish we needed to buy a card, in memory of our mothers). There is a range of gifts and prices from £3 to £100, so ask an MU member or go to www.makeamothersday.org for details and “Make a Mother’s Day”.
