Group Service Studley
We are hearing the concerned views of some of our church members, and as such are seeking discussion and clarity with the Diocese of Coventry, regarding the unintentional impact the safeguarding policy is having in our community. As a church, we are thankful for, and value all of our volunteers, and the wonderful services they provide for us and the wider community, and are seeking to safeguard all.

Prayer Points for this week.
Please pray for the Meeting on 14th March with Tim Mitchell with members of the MLT and all those involved with putting the Parish Profile together. We will receive the results of the NCD questionnaire which was recently done. Pray that these are encouraging and a positive outcome to add to our profile as a Parish.
For the 1st Prayer lunch on Tuesday 14th March at the home of Rosemary & Alan Tostevin between 12 & 2pm. Please feel free to join us for homemade soup & Rolls. We will be praying for our journey through this interregnum and for certain situation and people who are taking on extra responsibilities during this time.
During the interregnum we would like to encourage as many people as possible to participate in a CALL TO PRAYER as we seek a new Rector.
Below are 3 suggested ways in which you may like to get involved.
1) COMMIT TO PRAY for all those involved in putting together the ‘Church Profile’ and the team responsible for choosing the new Rector by signing up to the PRAYER DIARY at the back of the church. The more people that sign up to pray on a particular day of the week the better.
2) Consider participating in a monthly SOUP AND PRAYER LUNCH on 14th March, 11th April, 2nd May, 13th June, 11th July from 12.00 noon to 2.00pm Come and go as you please.
3) If you are part of a CHURCH GROUP that already meets regularly please set aside time during the meeting to pray specifically for the interregnum.
REGULAR UPDATES OF TOPICS FOR PRAYER WILL BE ON THE WEEKLY NEWS SHEET

The course lays the foundation for truly fulfilling life of giving generously and finally indulging ourselves almost greedily on the goodness that life in the resurrected Christ gives.
Special open meeting on Thursday 16 February at 7.30 pm at Mappleborough Green Church
Following David Silvester’s retirement at the end of January the churches are now in what is known as an ‘interregnum’ – the period during which we begin to think about the configuration of the post and the process that leads to the appointment of the next Rector by the Bishop of Coventry.
The Archdeacon Missioner (Morris Rodham) runs the process in the Diocese, and along with a representative from the Lord Chancellor’s Ecclesiastical office (the patron who has the right of presentation this time) tries to make it as transparent as possible for everyone. We are therefore holding a special open meeting on Thursday 16 February at 7.30 pm at Mappleborough Green Church where, in the absence of Archdeacon Morris, Stephen Burch, Area Dean of Coventry South will explain the process, and will try to answer any questions people may have about it. The meeting has been arranged so that we can understand and start the process as soon as possible. We invite anyone from the congregation who is interested to come and join us for the evening. Refreshments will be served from 6.45 pm.
David has notified the Churchwardens that his application for early retirement on medical grounds has been accepted. In the light of this David has informed us that he intends to retire as of 31st January 2017. We give thanks to God for his and Val’s ministry and wish to encourage you continue to pray for them both as they make preparations for the future.
